Green manure

The green manure mixture is sown after the harvest of the winter crops and is an excellent intercrop for the following crop. New in our offer are 4 mixtures which contribute to the improvement of soil structure and quality:

Zele'N'Ax Lowcost – economical and efficient solution, fast sprouting in all conditions, excellent biomass.

Zele'N'Ax Easy – a mixture containing 70% legumes

Zele'N'Ax Premium – a great cover even during the winter period

Zele'N'Ax Soya – an excellent starter for soybeans, peas, beans and other legumes

The benefits of our mixtures for green fertilization are:

🟢 They develop good leaf biomass and cover the soil well,

🟢 They develop a strong root system, which improves the soil structure, and

🟢 Certain mixtures contain legumes that bind nitrogen from the environment and leave it for the next crop and enrich the soil.

Sowing can be done immediately after the harvest of winter crops until the end of August.

The mixture contains of white late mustard (66%), phacelia (17%) and niger (17%). Each of these component is annual and characteristic of them is that they have low requirements - quick and easy sprouting in all conditions. A mixture that develops good above-ground biomass and also a good root system and improves soil structure.

🟢Low sowing density: 6 kg/ha

🟢Sowing time: during August

🟢Sowing depth: 1-2 cm

🟢Next crop: spring and winter crops

💡Good to know: thawing already at the first frost from 0°C (niger) to -10°C  for phacelia

Mixture for green fertilization containing 70% legumes (Alexandrian clover) and 30% Chinese radish. One-year mixture for green fertilization that improves soil structure. Clover binds nitrogen from the air and leaves it in the soil for the next crop, while Chinese radish breaks up compact soils and makes them more loose. This kind of biomass has a low C:N ratio, which means that it has a low lignin content and plant residues are quickly mineralized. The recommended time for sowing is immediately after the harvest of the winter crop until the end of August. If sowing is started immediately, the plant mass develops quickly and can be plowed after 2 months. In this way, the next crop can again be a winter crop.

🟢Sowing time: from the harvest of winter crops until the end of August

🟢Sowing density: in optimal conditions 5 kg/ha and in less optimal conditions 10 kg/ha is sown

🟢Sowing depth: 2 cm

🟢Next crop: spring crop or winter

💡Good to know: thawing already at the appearance of the first frost of -7°C

Mixture for green fertilization that develops good plant mass and improves soil structure. If left on the field until late in the fall, it can serve as an excellent ground cover during the winter. The mixture consists of 4 components, half of which are legumes: Ethiopian mustard (25%), phacelia (15%), fenugreek (35%) and Alexandrian clover (25%).

Fenugreek and Alexandrian clover belong to legumes and as such bind a significant amount of nitrogen from the air and leave it for the next crop.

Ethiopian mustard germinates and sprouts quickly and develops broad leaves that quickly cover the ground. Broad leaves are competitive over weeds and prevent their sprouting until the next crop is sown. The whole mixture consists of small grains, and we get uniform sowing and fast sprouting. The height of the biomass is a maximum of 70-90 cm, and it can be left to overwinter (thaw at -10°C) or at the end of winter it can be destroyed by rolling or using a plate.

🟢Sowing time: after harvesting the winter crop until the end of August

🟢Sowing density: 10 kg/ha

🟢Sowing depth: 1-2 cm

🟢Next crop: spring crops, primarily corn and sunflower due to fixed nitrogen, but also soybeans

Zele'N'Ax Soya is a mixture intended for the development of biomass, i.e. ground cover until the sowing of soybeans, peas or beans! It consists of 3 components: Ethiopian mustard (20%), phacelia (13%) and Brazilian oats (67%).

Economic solution: both good biomass and a good root system that improves soil structure. The mixture itself overwinters well, but it can freeze at -13°C, otherwise it can be destroyed at the end of winter by rolling or flattening.

🟢Sowing time: immediately after the harvest of winter crops until mid-September

🟢Sowing density: 15 kg/ha

🟢Sowing depth: 1.5-2 cm

🟢Next crop: soybeans, peas, beans and other legumes
