If you want to optimize the time during the harvest, Basilio is our recommendation as the earliest wheat variety - it will surely be the first ready for harvest! Basilio represents the right answer to the increasingly frequent climate changes in recent years. Due to its early ripening, early flowering and ripening, it successfully avoids stressful conditions caused by a lack of precipitation. The low plant and strong stem ensure excellent stability, so you will never see Basilio lodged. It achieves the best results when sowing in optimal terms, but thanks to its early maturity, it can also be sown in November with an increase in the sowing rate.
In addition to guaranteeing a high yield, Basilio is characterized by very good grain quality. It belongs to quality group A2, and the protein content is around 13%. This variety is adaptable to different soil types and agrotechnical conditions, and the yield potential is from 9 to 11 t/ha. Thanks to its very good resistance to diseases, we also recommend it for ecological production.
